Your tour begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in Aswan. From there, you'll head to the stunning Temple of Kalabsha, located on the western shore of Lake Nasser, near the southern end of the Aswan High Dam.
Originally built around 50 kilometers south of Aswan during the reigns of Pharaoh Thutmose II and Amenhotep II, this temple was later dismantled and relocated to its current position to save it from flooding after the construction of the High Dam.
Kalabsha Temple is a fine example of Nubian architecture blended with Pharaonic design, offering a peaceful and scenic setting by the lake. After exploring this historic site, your guide will take you to the Nubian Museum, one of Egypt’s most important cultural institutions. Opened in 1997, the museum displays over 3,000 artifacts that chronicle the rich history, heritage, and traditions of the Nubian people.
At the end of your enlightening journey through ancient and modern Nubian culture, you’ll be comfortably returned to your hotel in Aswan.
