The Valley of the Kings

During the New Kingdom (1570–1050 BC), the heart of the sacred hill was turned into a magical time vault called the Valley of the Kings. The royal gates of the kings have 63 tombs with golden artifacts and colorful decorations from Ramses II, Hatshepsut, Seti I, Tutankhamun, and other great Pharaohs.

Temple of Hatshepsut

This magnificent and beautiful colossal temple was built for Queen Hatshepsut (1507–1458 BC) to be the holiest of the holies. It was built in 1479 BC to honor the sun god Amun and honor Hatshepsut's great legacy. The beautiful temple of Hatshepsut was taken care of for 15 years on the rocky hills of Deir El Bahari. It is now one of the best-preserved architectural and archaeological structures in Egypt's history.

Colossi of Memnon

The everlasting statues of Colossi of Memnon were built in 1350 BC by Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386–1349 BC). Still, they were taken apart and put back together several times during the Greco-Roman period. It was named after the ancient Greek leader Memnon.

Then move to an island to eat your lunch. Your day trip from Safaga to Luxor ends with a stop at:

Karnak Temple

The large Karnak temple complex is one of the most sacred places in ancient Egypt. It shows how religious the ancient Egyptians were and how good they were at building. It was built to honor Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, the three gods of Thebes. The blessed Karnak temple was built on 247 acres of holy land over a long period, from 2000 BC to 30 BC. The Avenue of Sphinxes, the hypostyle hall, and the religious are known for being some of the most beautiful pieces of architecture and art found in archaeological sites.
